Héctor Abad Interview at the Hay Festival Cartagena de Indias

Colombian novelist, Héctor Abad, was interviewed by Georgina Goodwin on her program Meet the Writers. The two met at the Hay Festival Cartagena de Indias in Colombia to talk about his memoir. Abad is one of the most well known post Latin American Boom writers. His book, The Farm, translated by Anne Mclean, will be published by us next year. Listen to the interview here.

Remembering John Berger

Renown novelist, essayist, art critic, painter, poet, screenwriter, dramatist and translator, John Berger, passed away recently. Berger was the recipient of the Man-Booker Prize for his novel G. and co-translator of Return to My Native Land by . Deeply concerned with the human condition and social injustice, Berger was a voice for the disenfranchised and was an outspoken critic of capitalism. You can read Anthony Barnett’s reflective piece on his late friend here.
