Among the interlocutors are two Archipelago Books translators! Bruna Dantas Lobato, translator of Moldy Strawberries by Caio Fernando Abreu, spoke on April 19 with Rick Moody about writing queerness, translating style, and her translation of Abreu. Their conversation will be available to watch online starting at 2 pm on Friday. Philip Roughton will give a talk at 4pm on Friday titled “This Demanding Potato in Human Form”, discussing his translation of Halldór Laxness’s Salka Valka. 

There are many other wonderful events planned at the festival over the next few days, including conversations, presentations, art installations, readings, and more!
