Elias Khoury at New York University

Please join us for a reading and discussion with Elias Khoury at the Richard Ettinghausen Library at the Hagop Kevorkian Center for Near Eastern Studies at NYU (255 Sullivan Street, Washington Square South). Khoury will present his new novel, Broken Mirrors: Sinalcol. We hope to see you there!

 

 

 

ELIAS KHOURY, born in Beirut, is the author of thirteen novels, four volumes of literary criticism, and three plays. He was awarded the Palestine Prize for Gate of the Sun, which was named Best Book of the Year by Le Monde DiplomatiqueThe Christian Science Monitor, and The San Francisco Chronicle, and a Notable Book by The New York Times. Khoury is the editor of theJournal of Palestinian Studies. He is a public intellectual who plays a major role in contemporary Arabic culture and in the defense of the freedom of expression and democracy.
