Richard Sieburth
Richard Sieburth is an essayist, editor, literary scholar, and translator from French and German. His prize-winning translations from the French include Nostradamus, Maurice Scève, Louise Labé, Gérard de Nerval, Charles Baudelaire, Michel Leiris, Henri Michaux, Eugène Guillevic, and Jacques Darras. From German, he has translated works from Oswald von Wolkenstein, Friedrich Hölderlin, Georg Büchner, Walter Benjamin, and Gershom Scholem. Sieburth has edited Ezra Pound's writing and translations for New Directions and the Library of America.
