Please join us at BookCourt (163 Court Street) for a conversation between translator Liz Harris and acclaimed author Honor Moore about Harris’s translation of Antonio Tabucchi’s Tristano Dies: A Life.

Elizabeth Harris has translated fiction by Italian authors like Mario Rigoni Stern, Giulio Mozzi, and Domenico Starnone. Her translations appear in numerous literary journals and in anthologies. Her translated books include Mario Rigoni Stern’s novel Giacomo’s Seasons (Autumn Hill Books) and Giulio Mozzi’s story collection This Is the Garden (Open Letter Books). For Antonio Tabucchi’s Tristano Dies, she received a 2013 PEN/Heim Translation Fund Grant. She teaches creative writing at the University of North Dakota.

Honor Moore is well known for her work as a playwright, memoirist, editor, and poet. She has edited selections of Amy Lowell’s poems, contemporary plays by American women, and poems from Russia, and is the author of several poetry collections, includingMemoir and Red Shoes; two memoirs, The White Blackbird: A Life of the Painter Margarett Sargent by Her Granddaughter and The Bishop’s Daughter; the play Mourning Pictures; and numerous essays and reviews.
