Kalpana Raina & Sanna Wani at Type Books

Join us in Toronto at Type Books’ Junction location for a conversation between Kalpana Raina and poet Sanna Wani. This event will include a reading, Q&A, and signing.

Kalpana Raina was born in Kashmir and lives in New York. She is a senior executive with extensive financial, management and advisory experience internationally. Raina is currently the Vice Chair at Words Without Borders, a premier online journal of translations. Her collaborative translation project of stories from the Kashmiri language, For Now, It Is Night, is her first work of translation.

Sanna Wani is the author of My Grief, the Sun (House of Anansi, 2022). Her work has been featured in Best Canadian Poetry 2020, CBC, The Puritan, TIME among other places. She is the guest editor for Canthius Issue 10 and the 2023 Artist-in-Residence with The Seventh Wave Magazine.
