Susan Stewart
Susan Stewart is a poet, critic, and translator. A former MacArthur Fellow, Berlin Prize Fellow, and Chancellor of the Academy of American poets, she is the author of seven books of poems, including Columbarium, which won the National Book Critics Circle Award, Cinder: New and Selected Poems, and, most recently, Bramble. Her most recent books of prose are The Ruins Lesson and Poetry's Nature: Four Lectures. Her co-translation with Patrizio Ceccagnoli of Antonella Anedda's Historiae won both the Harold Morton Landon Translation Award from the Academy of American Poets and the Derek Walcott Prize.
