Maureen Shaughnessy will discuss her translation of Hebe Uhart's short story collection, The Scent of Buenos Aires, with Lina Meruane. Maureen Shaughnessy has translated Maya folktales by Guadalupe Urbina, several Cañari legends, and has co-translated the memoirs of the Catalan poster artist Carles Fontserè. Her translations have been published by The Paris Review, Words Without Borders, Brick, and AGNI. Her translation of a poetry chapbook by Nurit Kasztelan is forthcoming from Cardboard House Press. She lives in Bariloche, Argentina.
