SUMMARY:Christos Ikonomou in conversation with translator Karen Emmerich
DESCRIPTION:Christos Ikonomou wrote the acclaimed Something Will Happen\, You’ll See\, translated by Karn Emmeich\, which chronicles the lives of men and women living under the weight of economic collapse. Heralded as “the Greek Faulker” by La Republica\, Ikonomou sketches the steelworkers\, warehousemen\, families\, packers\, pensioners\, and the unemployed as they survive\, clinging to the flickers of hope that come their way. Join us on Wednesday to hear this critical voice of the Greek literary landscape.
