Anusheh Zia is a London-based artist working across photography, sound, installation, painting, film and ceramics. Her work draws from systems and structures of spiritual practice in the Islamic faith, which she explores in relation to concepts of time and the natural world. She studied Fine Art at Central Saint Martins and Arabic at SOAS. Her recent series of works on paper, ‘Positions’, depicts abstracted corporeal forms, exploring various bodily positions at prayer.
