Scholastique Mukasonga, author of Our Lady of the Nile, will be appearing at the University of California Berkeley for a reading from her latest book, to be followed by a discussion of her work and the future of post-genocide Rwanda. This event will be conducted in French, with interpretation provided by UC Berkeley doctoral student Aubrey Gabel. Reception to follow.
